This is the blog of NZ-based (British born) writer Josie Stanford. It is intended to celebrate all I love about my adopted country of ten years, the great Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud. All I love about the country is quite a vast subject, I love the scenery, the travel opportunities, the people, the film and literature, the nature, the biodiversity, the conservation efforts, the unusual flora and fauna. Above all it is about people and place, revelling in what makes New Zealand unique and special.
The blog also gives me the opportunity to give some of my magazine-published work a second outing and therefore acts as a portfolio to prospective clients/future employers.
With the digital age I am transitioning my largely print-based skills to the online arena and as part of this I’m studying social media marketing (SMM) at Unitec. So, the blog has been hijacked to talk about SMM – within the New Zealand market of course.
If you’d like to get in touch to commission me for a story, put me in charge of your social channel, or to join me by publishing your own content on this blog please write to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also find other ways to contact me on the contact page.
Enjoy the blog.
